Matt Thierfelder is a retired Battalion Chief with the Vancouver Fire Department, where he served for 30 years.
Following his own experiences with psychedelic-assisted healing, he became an advocate for education, awareness, and access to innovative mental health treatments for first responders. Matt completed Oregon’s InnerTrek psilocybin facilitator training, serves on the Advisory Board for the Coalition for Better Community Health, and has testified before the Washington State Legislature on psychedelic policy.
Through his work with firefighter unions, advocacy organizations, retreat programs, and as an ambassador for Mission to Live, he helps bridge the gap between the first responder community and emerging approaches to mental health and wellness.
